Engineering Computer Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure Windows XPE images.
  • Assist in embedded CPU qualification and integration.
  • Develop scripts for Windows software installation and support.
  • Assist in RTOS integration and configuration.
  • Conducts various engineering tests solving software or electronic problems involved in the operation of the machine. 
  • Performs calibration checks on machines and troubleshoots systems to determine cause and remedy for malfunctioning
  • Performs complex technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic and software systems.
  • Reports or gives feedback to appropriate engineers as required.

Qualifications

Proficient computer skills. In depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems required. Hands on experience in Embedded systems. Must be comfortable with hands on work in a lab environment. Working knowledge of real time operating systems desired. Familiarity with various computer buses desired. Proficient knowledge of test equipment and procedures, with troubleshooting skills to the component level. Mechanical aptitude. Soldering skills. Experienced with microprocessor products with proven techniques for development. Ability to work from schematics and blueprints. Good interpersonal/communication skills. Strong electrical background desirable. Familiarity with using logic analyzers A +.

 

Education and/or Experience

Technical degree (A.A.) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of technical experience. A+ certification welcome.
