Training classes are held at Orthodyne in Irvine, California.
We can also provide training at your facility.
About the classes
A Basic and Advanced course is available for each model of Orthodyne bonder. Class sizes are kept small, so that students can receive individual training from the instructors, who are experienced Field Application Engineers.
Students receive:
- Hands-on training
- Printed training materials
- A certificate of attendance
Basic classes
This class provides the student with a basic understanding of the Orthodyne bonder.
For the beginning student with little, or no knowledge Orthodyne bonders.
Topics in a basic class include:
- Introduction to wire bonding theory
- Introduction and overview of the bonder
- Creating a simple process program
- Pattern recognition overview
- Bondhead setup
- Productuction run overview
- Evaluating the results
- Basic calibrations
- Basic preventive maintenance
Advanced classes
The Advanced class provides the student with an in-depth understanding of the Orthodyne bonder assemblies, including how they operate (theory and practical), and how to maintain and repair them.
For the student that has completed the Basic class.
Topics in the Advanced Class include:
- Bondhead repair and replacement
- Rebuilding, replacing, and adjusting subassemblies
- Advanced pattern recognition
- Advanced process interface
- Tracking and using statistics
- Advanced calibration
- Troubleshooting
- Install and upgrade software
